Esmerelda has come away from "Britney S Pears" now and have got her a new little friend from work, Cotswold Chickens :)
She's a Mottled Pekin we hatched in the shop, so is a few weeks older + quite a bit bigger that Brit but they've been together a few days and are getting on fine. Have got 2 feed stations in there so they can both get to them.
Think she's going to be called Dot!

Got a few photos earlier...
Looking at that bit of a comb I think Britney may be a Boris but its not as red at Quigley's were at that are! Will have to wait and see!

Esmerelda's chick - 3 weeks
Esmerelda's chick is 3 weeks old and doing well :)
My cousin has been looking after everyone while we were in Mexico and she's named him Britney S Pears
(S)He has a bit of a comb coming already but its not too big - nothing compared to Quigleys at 3 weeks!
Not a frizzle either!

Esmerelda has a chick :)
Esmerelda has hatched her first chick!
The first Quigley baby to hatch here too. Not sure who the egg came from, I guess Mabel but could be Cilla or Alice/Eliza.

Broody Esmerelda
Esmerelda, my Welsummer bantam, is sat on some eggs in a rabbit hutch in the greenhouse, I moved her last night and so far so good.
Am hoping she sits tight and hatches some 'cos I've waited all year for a broody! Bit rubbish timing 'cos they'll hatch a few days before we go to Mexico but I can't really keep her broody for 6 weeks to make her wait!
